Finally a self-help book that helped to change my behavior!


For someone with "procrastinator" as his middle name, I found it was very motivating to have all the information chopped up in 7 days with every day a simple exercise to put that knowledge in practice. This way it actually sticks instead of reading a book, putting it away at the end thinking "yes...I KNOW what to do now...now find the motivation to actually DO it." Three days later you forget you even read the module. Right?

The productivity challenge touches on a variety of little strategies that together significantly increase productivity (and the proud accomplished feeling that goes with it).


What made the biggest impact on me was having my work environment decluttered and organized, I really notice my focus and the clarity of my mind go down when it gets messy again.


I also found it an eye-opener to realize how much time I actually waste, really throw away, on mindlessly surfing the internet looking at lame cat pictures and beautiful women, and checking my email and facebook almost obsessively for new messages. It adds up over a week and doesn't make me feel relaxed or happy at all.


What I realized after consciously cutting them out for some days with the tips in the book, was that it made me feel like I was super busy all day, while in reality I didn't get much done.

Anyway, big thanks to the author for understanding the mind of a true procrastinator and coming up with a challenge that works for us!

Being productive is something that I still struggle to achieve on a daily basis.


I wake up in the morning and be like I’m going to be productive; study for my MBA, go through the backlog in chores. But first let me watch an episode of Lost, and 10 episodes later I haven’t done anything. I’m not getting closer to my MBA, I just added another day to my backlog of chores.


From this challenge I learned that what is key is to begin immediately, procrastination is not good; I wish I started  this challenge when I bought it, but then again. I like the recommendations, something I would have never thought to do in my previous route to recovery by myself.


The writer is really helpful here; from advising how you can connect to yourself to how you can remain healthy while being productive. I love this challenge  and I will practice.
